Panasonic PTZ Dome Cameras
Saturday, July 4th, 2009Optical Slip Ring for noise-free imaging
Panasonic PTZ cameras use an advanced all-optical connection between the moving camera and the base, to provide a higher-quality image with less video noise. Unlike cameras that rely on a sliding metal-to-metal contact that is vulnerable to wear and dust, Panasonic PTZ cameras transmit the video from camera to base via a light beam that requires no physical contacts at all. This eliminates the image noise and greatly enhances the reliability of the unit.
Panasonic Motion Detection
To support monitoring needs, the PTZ cameras include a built-in motion detection feature that can trigger a range of alarms in response to motion in the field of view. Cameras can be set to respond to motion within a given area of the screen, or to motion of a certain duration. The alarm can be used to trigger recording in a VCR, or to alert an operator. (more…)
